Solinco String Update

When doing string evaluations it is important to stay current, since “running” or “in-line”, changes can be made.  What was running down the line last month may not be exactly the same as running down the line this month!  These changes are typically made to improve the product.

Today we tested three (3) Solinco strings; Hyper-G 16, Hyper-G 16L, and Tour Bite 16.  These have been added to the String Characteristic Data table.

As mentioned before beginning a few months ago the Tensile Strength is now the actual tensile strength, not  “approximate”.  In addition to the data shown here, we do stress-strain analysis and knot strength.  What we found with the three (3) strings was very good elastic properties in the 0 to the 50-pound range where these strings will probably be installed.

It could be concluded, then, that these strings will be very suitable for a low tension player that still prefers a stiff string bed.
