Adding Weight to the Handle – Part 1 [3 Applications]
What Are The Benefits of Adding Weight To The Handle of Your Tennis Racquet?
There are two main benefits when adding weight to the handle of your racquet.
- Give your racquet a more solid feel.
- Make your racquet balance point more headlight.
Although adding weight to the handle will change the balance point, it does not affect the swing weight of the racquet. Ultimately, the swing weight of a racquet is what players will feel.
In this video, I’ll share three applications of adding weight to the handle of your racquet.
- Tungsten putty inside the handle
- Lead tape under the grip
- Lead tape at the top of the handle
