Doha Champions

Many of you are aware that the IART training symposium was held at Saddlebrook Resort for 5 years, 2011-2015. During that time, I had the pleasure of meeting Marcelo Stefani and his family through my friend, Peter Reisdorf. May he rest in peace. We all had a nice Tapas meal with the family one evening, and I was introduced to Luisa, her mother, and her brother. It was just one of those special things that happens in this business, and I’ve followed Luisa’s career since then. Luisa trained at Saddlebrook and then, later on, attended college at Pepperdine University as a standout on the college team. You can find more information on her career HERE on Wikipedia.

Today, Luisa and her doubles partner, Demi Schuurs, won the Doha doubles title 6-4, 6-2, defeating the team of Dolehide/Krawczyk for the title. I always find it enjoyable to meet interesting people in the tennis world and follow along to see how their careers are doing. Luisa is just the latest example. Happy stringing, everyone!
