Latest Wimbledon News
Having had the personal experience of working at Wimbledon on the official stringing team, I can personally attest to the fact that there’s nothing in the world like experiencing Wimbledon in person. In the spirit of the granddaddy of them all, here’s the latest news from the AELTC on what’s in store for 2022!
With 100 days to go until the first ball is struck, we are planning in earnest for the 135th edition of The Championships. After two years affected by the pandemic, we are looking ahead to what we hope will be a great moment of celebration at Wimbledon this year. A century ago, construction was well underway on Centre Court, intended to be the showpiece of the All England Club’s new home on Church Road and the finest stage in world tennis. As you can see from the composite image above, today’s Centre Court retains much of the original vision of architect Stanley Peach, with some modern enhancements. This notable milestone is our theme for 2022, looking at this wonderful stadium’s history, but also looking forward to what the next century will bring. Among our celebrations will be a special ceremony taking place on Centre Court on Middle Sunday, 3 July, so put it in your diaries now. There will be plenty of ways to enjoy Wimbledon this year, whether you’re visiting us in person or planning to watch the action remotely. Please read on for information about how to access tickets for the event and we will have more to share about our range of ‘Wimbledon at home’ initiatives in the coming months. Thank you for your ongoing support for Wimbledon and we are looking forward to celebrating this special edition with you. Kind regards, The All England Lawn Tennis Club |

Wimbledon remains one of the very few major UK sporting events where you can still buy premium tickets on the day of play. We are delighted that the Queue will be returning in 2022 for on-day sales, more information about queuing for tickets will be made available in due course.
If you would like to guarantee your attendance at The Championships this year, then we would like to make sure you are aware of our hospitality ticket options. |
