Mantis 315 Performance Series
Mantis is a racquet brand that is better known in Europe and Asia than in the US. However, there has been some activity, and I received racquets to review.
Please note that the logo on the strings is the Racquet Quest Demo logo…not the Mantis Logo.
These, according to the US source, are new models that incorporate some improvements.
The 315 Professional Series represents the “all out” players racquet with a thin beam, good weight, and adequate swing weight. The details are on the following table. I have some personal comments to start with.
The overall quality and finish seem to be very good.
The grip shape is very European in that it is flat very much like the Head Prestige Series. This model supports the “Custom Pallet Handle System” so there may be a more round pallet offered. The racquet has a lot of “graphics.” I like the Mantis logo but could do with fewer lines on a players racquet. And, the main string tie off holes are located on 6M, and I think they should be on 7M. There are plenty of tie off holes I just think some could be better placed.

Hi John,
Could you please send this review to Martin he has asked to have a copy to look into any areas you feel needs addressing for this frame. ma@mantis-sport.com
Thanks and would like to see a review on the Proforma 260 Mantis frame if Bobby sent you one.
Randy
Randy I’m not sure why John hasn’t responded to your request but it’s been two weeks now and I appreciate your patience. I can help you with this on a temporary basis. We don’t usually make our reviews available to the public, only to IART members but I’ve made an exception to honor your request. I’ve changed the status of the review in question so that Martin can visit the site and see the review. Just give him the link and he can visit the site and see the review. I’ll leave it this way for a couple of weeks and then it will revert back to a “protected” status with member access only.
I would welcome Martin and invite him to become an IART member which will give him full access to all IART content, including any Mantis frame reviews. Please tell him that if he is interested, I would like to see him make arrangements to have a U.S. Mantis rep send me whatever racquets he has available and I’ll be happy to review them and post them on the IART site.
Tim
