Master Athletics T100 Lite
The T100 Lite is the first of two fully customizable tennis racquets showcasing their proprietary EDGE technology and Tuning Kit. The design offers the player the power to fully customize their racquet by changing its weight and balance. Reminiscent of Donnay’s Self Customization weighting system that offered two 3 gram weighting strips that could be inserted in the side grommet strips plus weighted butt caps, Master Athletics takes the concept to an entirely new level with two options. First, their tuning kit provides eight 1.5 gram adhesive backed strips that can be inserted into 9 separate locations on the racquet. Next, they offer a 2-pack of insertable 10 gram butt caps to round out their customization concept. Our specs on the T100 Lite were very close to the stated specs from Master Athletics so it appears their tolerances are pretty tight. We found more than enough room in the grommet at 7T to tie off the main strings on the next to last main. This also left 6T open as a perfect spot to tie off the cross strings. 7H was also a breeze and large enough to insert the string for the tie-off to start the crosses. It seems like most major manufacturers these days are recognizing that many stringers prefer to tie off the mains on the next-to-last main on the perimeter of the frame and Master Athletics has clearly followed suit with their design. The T100 Lite is perfect for anyone seeking a lighter racquet and would be a great choice as a nice junior transition racquet in today’s competitive market.
MSRP $219

Aloha Tim,
Thanks for introducing this racquet to us. I’ve never heard of it. Was it recently launched? Is this a new company?
Yes and yes. More to come on this soon Albert
