New IART website design now live!
After months in development the new IART website design is now live. The first thing I would advise you to do is to clear your cache & browsing history to get a fresh start. This is actually something that should be done on a regular basis and you’ll find that most browsers give you options so you can choose what to clear and what to leave.
The IART has been around for many years and in the beginning things in the design world for websites as well as the stringing world were quite different, and that’s an understatement. You can clearly see by the vibrant design of the pages and the options now available that the website is truly a 21st century update. This has been a labor of love and has allowed me to add more options for the group and to integrate some long overdue changes. My hope is that you’ll bookmark the IART site and login every day so you’ll have it at your fingertips, especially during work in your shop. What follows are some of the highlights:
- You’ll find that the navigation is streamlined to the point that you can find anything you’re looking for very fast
- If you’re a premium member you can find all of your member benefits in the “Member Features” navigation link
- The “About” section tells you everything you need to know about the organization from our ethos to the new ambassadors
- There’s a quick link for “Member Discounts“, perks for premium members with more to be added later
- The new Q&A replaces the forums. You can find it on the home page or in the navigation menu at Ask the Experts
- You can now leave comments on videos in the “Media” section – something I’ve wanted to add for a long time
- Photos are easier to access and I’ll be working on new albums in the coming months
- The Blog is prominently displayed on the home page with access links to read or submit your own blog post!
- Quick links for the 4 slams, the ATP & WTA will allow you to keep up to date with tournament results and your favorite players. Find these on the home page after the blog
- There’s a new testimonial section where you’ll see some familiar faces. Check it out and see what people have to say about the IART
- The IART ambassadors are all passionate about racquet service. They promote the IART, contribute to the blog and share their years of expertise by posting informative videos on stringing as well as on-court instruction
Things have changed dramatically and there will be more changes to come in phase II of the development plan so stay tuned. In the mean time, if you find any errors like broken links etc. when browsing through the new site please don’t hesitate to contact me and bring it to my attention so I can get it fixed. You can use the contact us link at the top of the home page to reach me.
I look forward to hearing from all of you about your thoughts on the new design and features of the IART website.
