New Wilson Triad Five
The new Wilson Triad Five is a head heavy lightweight frame that would work well for beginners but there’s enough here to accommodate intermediate players as well. This is a mid-plus frame with a 103 square inch head, Triad technology and Power Holes. It’s worth mentioning that Wilson’s Power Holes were Wilson’s answer to rising technologies at the time of development like Volkl’s Big Grommet system. The additional string movement allowed by Power Holes means less vibration on off-center hits and additional pocketing of the ball as the string elongates. When you couple this with Triad technology you end up with a comfortable combination that’s a real joy to hit with.
The racquets extended length (27.25″) will add a bit of extra pop, especially on serves and overheads and the head heavy balance will be appreciated from the baseline. If you’re looking for a forgiving mid-plus racquet with comfort to spare and added power take a look at the new Wilson Triad Five.
