Symposium Tennis
For the last 3 years the IART symposium has been held at the beautiful Saddlebrook Resort in Tampa, Florida. From Texas in the beginning, to Orlando and Disneyworld and finally to Tampa, the IART now has the perfect fit for our annual training conference. Saddlebrook is an ATP/WTA training facility and when there, our people have absolutely no trouble finding a court. There are over 40 courts but the great part about it is that within the complex, they have all 4 Grand Slam surfaces. We’re now able to expand what we offer at the conference including unique on-court sessions that allow for all kinds of new and interesting classes. All of our sponsors are encouraged to bring full sets of DEMOS so if you decide you would like to get out in the evening and try out all the new racquets we can make that happen.
Prince will host another great round robin to kick things off this year so most of our first day on Saturday will be spent in the Florida sunshine playing tennis and getting to know each other, exactly what a true meet & greet should be. Wilson is also planning to showcase their new Spin Effect racquets with a Trackman presentation Sunday evening as well as Monday morning. If you’re not familiar with Trackman, take a look HERE for a peek.
From the Trackman site:
“TrackMan has a long track record of working with radar technology equipment and was established in 2003 with the sole purpose of helping golf professionals understand more about this critical moment of impact. The TrackMan radar not only helps map these key data parameters – golf swing and ball speed, attack angle, club and path, etc. – it also captures the golf swing with an inbuilt video camera”
Wilson has now taken this technology to the sport of tennis and when you see the results and ball trajectories of the new Spin Effect racquets using Trackman you’re going to be amazed.
Don’t fool yourself when it comes to those who string the racquets. They love to play too and we have some pretty accomplished players that show off their stuff at the symposium.
